Action Button, Shortcuts, and Siri

Add Recall's Capture memory shortcut to the Action Button or run it from Shortcuts. Recall starts listening only after it is visible and unlocked. Siri actions can be enabled in Recall Settings.

Review and correct

A Task is an action without a confirmed time. A Reminder is an action with a date, time, or recurrence. A Note is useful information rather than an action.

Open the saved receipt or Review to change a title, type, person, date, or recurrence. One tap can confirm a known person. A name correction becomes a local alias without silently rewriting what you said.

Notebook

Use Share > Recall Home from Safari, Photos, or Files to save a supported link, image, PDF, or document. Recall categorises it locally and opens the website or file only when you choose to.

If a reminder did not arrive

1. Allow Recall Home in iPhone Settings > Notifications.
2. Confirm the item is a Reminder with a future time, not a Task.
3. Check Focus, Scheduled Summary, and Apple Watch notification routing.
4. Open the item to see its delivery state.

Notification text is private by default. You can choose to show titles and actions in Recall Settings.

If voice capture does not start—or stops too soon

1. Make sure Recall is visible and unlocked.
2. Check Microphone and Speech Recognition in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security.
3. Reconnect Bluetooth audio if the wrong microphone is active.
4. Try the same phrase with Enhanced voice clarity on and off.
5. Open iPhone microphone mode in Recall Settings and try Voice Isolation when the current microphone supports it.
6. If on-device processing is unavailable, check Cloud fallback and the network connection.

Automatic mode waits through ordinary fillers, false starts, and short thinking pauses, and rejects filler-only recordings locally. Enhanced voice clarity uses the iPhone voice-processing audio path to reduce steady interference. Recall also respects the microphone mode you select in Apple’s controls. Recall never reports success merely because recording stopped; the receipt shows what was stored and whether a notification was scheduled.

Privacy, export, and deletion

Open Settings > Privacy details for the current on-device and optional cloud boundary. You can pause understanding, disable fallback, control retained source words, export data, create or restore an encrypted backup, delete records, or erase all Recall data.

Recall cannot recover an encrypted-backup password. Store it separately from the backup file.
